Refresh & sync actuals
Refresh bluprnts' copy of your Xero data, read when it was last downloaded, and know when a stale ledger is making your comparison meaningless.
bluprnts holds a copy of your accounting data rather than reading Xero on every page load. Refresh Data takes a fresh copy.
Refresh#
On the Accounting page, select Refresh Data on the connection card. It reads as Refreshing… while it works, and the Downloaded date updates when it finishes.
The button rests briefly after a successful read. A failed read can be retried immediately.
Know how fresh the data is#
Two dates on the connection card, answering different questions:

Downloaded is the one that refreshing changes. Position read at is fixed to your forecast's start — refreshing won't move it. See Forecast window.
When your books are behind#
If nothing has been posted to your ledger for over a fortnight, the card warns you:
Nothing has been posted for over a fortnight. Anything we read will be as out of date as the books are.
Refreshing does not fix this. bluprnts reads what is in your accounts, so the fix is in Xero — post the outstanding transactions and reconcile, then refresh.
This matters most for Plan vs Actual: an unreconciled month compares your plan against an incomplete record of what happened, and makes the business look better or worse than it was.
When the connection has lapsed#
A lapsed authorisation shows Needs reconnecting, and the refresh button is replaced by Reconnect. Nothing is lost — reauthorising picks up where it left off. See Connect Xero.
