Reporting standard
Choose your reporting standard in bluprnts so the statements it produces follow the conventions your accountant, bank or board expects.
Your reporting standard sets how bluprnts lays out the financial statements, so they follow the convention your accountant, bank or board expects. bluprnts supports FRS 102, IFRS and US GAAP.
Choose a standard#
In the left sidebar, select your company name at the bottom to open Company options, then Forecast, and set Reporting standard. Changes save automatically and the statements re-lay-out immediately.

What it changes#
The numbers behind your forecast are the same under any standard — what changes is how they're classified and laid out, and it shows up most in the cashflow statement:
- FRS 102 (UK GAAP) and IFRS (the international standard) both let interest sit under financing activities, which is where bluprnts puts it.
- US GAAP requires interest within operating activities instead, so the cashflow statement reads differently.
Pick the one your readers expect. If you're a UK company sharing with a UK bank or accountant, that's usually FRS 102.
