Share a report

How to get a bluprnts report to an investor, lender or board member — freeze it, export the PDF, and send the document you can be sure they're reading.

A report is a document you produce to send to someone: an investor, a lender, a board. You share it by freezing it and exporting the PDF, then sending that file. Reports live inside your account and are only reachable by signing in, so the PDF is what travels.

Send a report#

  1. Get the document reading the way you want — see Customise sections & AI narrative.
  2. Freeze it. This locks every figure as presented today.
  3. Export it, saving as a PDF. See Export to PDF.
  4. Send the PDF.

Freeze before you send, every time#

This is the step people skip, and it is the one that matters.

An unfrozen report resolves its figures live. Change a price, hire someone, extend the forecast, and every number in that document moves. The PDF you sent doesn't — so a month later, the version in an investor's inbox and the version in your account tell different stories, and you won't know which figures moved or when.

Freezing captures the document as presented: the figures are stored as they stood at that moment, the library badges the report As presented, and the toolbar shows the date it was frozen. You can then keep working on your plan without touching the record of what you actually sent.

If you need to send an updated version later, Unfreeze, let the figures catch up, redraft any sections that have gone stale, then freeze and export again — as a new document, so the original still stands.

Keep the copy you sent#

Freeze one report per thing you actually sent, and leave it frozen. It costs one report against your plan's allowance, and it is the only way to answer "what did we tell them in March?" with certainty rather than reconstruction.
