Create a report

Compose a report in bluprnts — choose the audience, tone and featured scenario, and the writer turns your live model into a finished document in about a minute.

You create a report by briefing the writer: who it is for, how it should sound, and which scenario it should feature. bluprnts reads your model and composes the whole document — cover, figures, charts, tables and narrative — in about half a minute. Every section is editable afterwards.

1. Open Reports#

In the left sidebar, under Statements, select Reports, then New report.

2. Choose who it's written for#

The audience decides what the document argues and which figures it leads on:

AudienceWhat it coversDefault title
InvestorsThe opportunity, the economics, the raiseInvestor summary
LendersServiceability, cash cover, stabilityLender pack
BoardWhere the plan stands, what changedBoard update
InternalThe operating plan, costs and hiringOperating plan

Choosing an audience fills in a default title, which you can then change.

3. Set the tone#

Confident, Balanced or Conservative. This changes how the narrative reads, not what it reports — the figures are computed either way. Conservative is the one to pick for a lender; they are reading for risk, not for ambition.

4. Feature a scenario, or don't#

If you have saved scenarios, you can put one at the centre of the document — the report will compare it against the base plan. Choose None to write the report on the plan as it stands.

5. Add an emphasis (optional)#

A free-text brief for the writer: "centre it on the Series A raise", "keep the spotlight on runway". It is kept with the report, so later redrafts of individual sections stay on-message rather than drifting back to a generic document.

6. Compose#

Select Compose report. bluprnts reads your statements, runway and unit economics, and writes the document section by section — you'll see it arrive, with the toolbar reporting "Composing · section 3 of 9".

Composing needs an active subscription.

Open and delete#

The library lists every report with its audience and the date it was last updated; frozen ones carry an As presented badge. Select a row to open it.
