Set the working case
Choose which scenario bluprnts applies across the app, so your dashboards, statements and reports all read from the version you're steering by.
One scenario at a time is applied across the whole app. Whichever one that is becomes the lens every other page reads the forecast through — your dashboards, statements and reports all show that version of the business until you change it. Everywhere else this is called the base case when no scenario is applied, and the scenario's own name when one is.
Choose it from the Scenarios page#
Selecting a scenario in the rail applies it. The row highlights, the scenario opens in the workbench, and every other page rebuilds against it.
Selecting Base returns the app to your committed plan.
The choice is saved with the company, so it survives a reload and is still in force next time you sign in.
Or switch it from the page you're on#
Most working pages carry a scenario picker in their header, so you can change the lens without going back to the Scenarios page. It reads Base case when you are on the committed plan, and shows the scenario's name with a pulsing dot when one is applied.
The picker appears on:
- Overview, Dashboard and Waterfall
- Sales, Employees, Costs and Financing
Opening it lists Base case — "Committed plan" — followed by every saved scenario with its description underneath, which is the reason it's worth writing a real description when you create one.
What the working case affects#
Everything derived from the forecast:

What it doesn't affect#
Your plan — the products, sales, employees, costs and financing you entered. A scenario never writes back to them. That is what makes it safe to leave one applied while you work, and why switching back to base restores your committed numbers exactly.
